الحمد لله الذی خلق الحروفات فی عوالم العما خلف سرادقات القدس فی رفارف الاسنی

Provisional translation
Praise be to God who created the letters in the worlds of the divine Cloud beyond the pavilions of holiness… Know that the first tokens brought into existence by the pre-existent Cause in the worlds of creation are the four elements… Strive therefore to recognize amongst the primary substances those things which are in equilibrium
Abstract:
An extensive commentary on the famous ‘verse of light’ in the Qur’an (24:35) and on the origin and meaning of the enigmatic letters heading many of its surahs, which Bahá’u’lláh relates to different aspects of the person and revelation of the Báb, to the mystical science of letters and numbers, and to stages in the alchemical craft.
