Provisional translation

The missive was received at the Court of Oneness and its contents perused. Unto God be praise that you were illumined… the treatment is specially designed so that this precious, life-giving substance, which has appeared from the divine mine, may be purified... The appearance of this hidden treasure amongst these people [arbab-i-ulum] is the sign of the coming of age of the world

Abstract:

A detailed explanation in symbolic language of an enigmatic statement on alchemy attributed to the legendary figure of Mary the Prophetess, describing the various stages in the creation of the elixir, and warning that the rediscovery of its knowledge by the scientists of the day will herald both the maturity of the world and the threat of a desolating affliction.
