The Pen of the Most High proclaimeth: O thou who hast imagined thyself to be the most exalted of men
Abstract:
Bahá’u’lláh’s second tablet to the Ottoman Prime Minister ‘Álí Páshá, denouncing him for his further act of cruelty in imprisoning Bahá’u’lláh and His followers in the citadel of ‘Akká, warning him of the ephemerality of his worldly power, relating the episode of a puppet show from Bahá’u’lláh’s own childhood which convinced Him of the fleeting nature of the trappings of the world, asking ‘Álí Páshá to comport himself with reason and justice, and reiterating a request for a brief audience with the Sultan.
