Indeed the hearts of the sincere are consumed in the fire of separation: Where is the gleaming of the light of Thy Countenance, O Beloved of the worlds?
Abstract:
Written in rhythmic prose and taking the form of a conversation between Bahá’u’lláh and God in verses reminiscent of the biblical Book of Job, Bahá’u’lláh calls to God in His suffering and in God’s apparent absence and receives God’s answer as to the wisdom of this suffering.
